If they’re lucky, most moms receive flowers or a card on Mother’s Day.
But Angelina Jolie is not your ordinary mother.
The 38-year-old was given personalised gifts from her six children on Sunday, including a gold ring designed by her son Knox.
That’s creative! Angelina Jolie revealed that son Knox designed her new gold ring, seen on her finger on Tuesday in NYC
Thoughtful: The ring is allegedly based on a doodle drawn by the five-year-old
‘Brad’s really creative with the kids, so they made a bunch of things like pillows and notebooks,’ the actress told People in a new interview. ‘Knoxy made me a picture of Maleficent that they made into a ring.’
Meanwhile, Knox’s twin sister Vivienne gave her famous mother more practically-minded gifts.
‘Vivi made me stationery and pillows for my office,’ said Angeline, who is currently promoting her new film Maleficent, due for release on May 30.

Inspiration: Knox’s ring was based on Angelina’s character Maleficent in the new film, due for release May 30
Pax, 10, meanwhile, took her on a trip down memory lane.
‘I loved Goofy when I was little. So Pax drew me a Goofy shirt. I wore that with a crown Vivienne found for me,’ said the Oscar winner.
In the same interview, Angelina not only confirmed that she will marry partner of nine years Brad but has even named the wedding planners – her own children.
Angelina said she and Brad may end up wearing camouflage in a paintball wedding extravaganza if their kids get their way.
Ring on it: Brad Pitt showed his wedding band while checking preparations for his Make It Right fundraiser on Saturday
Fit figure: Brad looked like he was in Fight Club shape in a white Henley shirt
Good combination: Brad combined his rugged good looks with a tan newsboy cap and aviator sunglasses
The big day: Angelina also opens up about her wedding in the interview, pictured in London last week
The Girl, Interrupted star explained that she and Brad, 50, will get married but that they are in no rush.
‘We will get married, and we’re not in a rush, so we’re just waiting for it to be the right time with the kids, with work, when it feels right,’ Angelina said. ‘We talk about it occasionally, and the kids talk about it with us.
‘We all kind of think about how we imagine it or what it might be. So we’ve started to do that but we haven’t made any definite plans’
The wedding planners: Angelina revealed that her children Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox want her and Brad Pitt to have a paintball wedding
Although, she went on to explain that the children’s vision of the wedding is ‘verging on hysterical’.
‘But we are discussing it with the children and how they imagine it might be. Which is verging on hysterical, how kids envision a wedding,’ the Mr And Mrs Smith star said. ‘They will in a way be the wedding planners.
‘It’s going to be Disney or paintball – one or the other!’
Strong opinions: The 38-year-old said it will either be a Disney wedding or paintball, pictured in New York on Tuesday
Adding: ‘We’ve got a lot of different personalities in the house. They’ve got some strong opinions. It will be fun. That’s the important thing.
‘When we do it, it will feel like a great day for our family.’
In the same interview, Angelina also talked about her plans to have her ovaries removed, following her double mastectomy last year.
She says that following her surgery in 2013 she is ‘feeling really good.’
Build up: Brad and Angelina have been together since 2005 and share six children but ahve yet to tie the knot, pictured on Monday in New York
Adding: ‘I’m really happy about the choices I’ve made, and I feel even more connected to other people, especially other women.’
Angelina shares six children with Brad – who she has been partners with since 2005 – Maddox, 12, Pax, 10, Zahara, nine, Shiloh, seven, Vivienne, five, and Knox also five.
Talking about her experience as a mother so far, she said: ‘Like every parent, when you start your family, your life completely changes. And you completely live for someone else. I find that the most extraordinary thing. Your life is handed over to someone else. It’s the most wonderful thing.’
